1. Unofficial Community Tool

Plowed? ("the Site") is an independent, community-driven project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of East Providence, Rhode Island, or any municipal, state, or federal government agency. Any reference to East Providence streets or city infrastructure is for informational purposes only and does not imply any official relationship.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy

All plowing status data displayed on the Site is submitted by anonymous community members and is not verified by any authority. The Site owner makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any information displayed. Street names, plowing statuses, and geographic data may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or mislabeled.

3. No Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site owner, operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any information provided on it. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:

• Reliance on inaccurate or misleading plowing status data
• Decisions made based on information displayed on the Site
• Any loss, injury, or property damage related to road conditions
• Temporary or permanent unavailability of the Site

4. User-Submitted Content

By submitting a vote or any data to the Site, you acknowledge that:

• Your submission is made voluntarily and in good faith
• You will not intentionally submit false or misleading information
• The Site owner is not responsible for content submitted by users
• Your submission may be displayed publicly and aggregated with other data

5. No Defamation or Libel

The Site does not make any claims about the performance, competence, or conduct of the City of East Providence, its employees, contractors, or any other individual or entity. Plowing statuses reflect anonymous community reports only and are not editorial statements, opinions, or assertions of fact by the Site owner. The Site owner expressly disclaims responsibility for any interpretation of user-submitted data as a factual claim about any person, organization, or government body.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Site owner and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of any data to the Site.

7. Use at Your Own Risk

You use the Site entirely at your own risk. Always exercise independent judgment regarding road conditions. Do not rely solely on this Site for safety-critical decisions. When in doubt, contact the City of East Providence directly for official plowing information.

8. Geographic and Road Data

Road geometry data is derived from publicly available MassGIS datasets. This data may not reflect current road configurations. The Site owner makes no warranty regarding the accuracy of road geometry or street name matching.

9. Modifications

The Site owner reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without notice. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
